Maintenance ideas[]
Change 5 gal H2O per day. Pond pumps on timer, perhaps?
- Water addition
- 55gal drum from ro/di tap every 10 days.
- Use a heater to maintain temperature integrity.
- Use chemical dosing equipment or manually dose fertilizer.
- Ro/di water autofill to sump. 75 gpd system will be fine and last about 2 weeks. Waste water to rain barrel.
- Make sure floating plants are not sucked into overflow box.
- Water removal
- Use a pump (could be powerhead), put it on a timer to remove 5 gallons daily. (Peristaltic pump at 15 mL/min perfect)
- That should enter some sort of water container with a hose attachment, and then water landscaping with that.
- Could also just use a refugium and remove algae often
- Some sort of back room for all of this.
